Koolin djerring nairm u (Strangers from the ocean)

For more than 2000 generations, our coastal nations thrived. Although occasional wars with bordering nations took their toll, we were healthy people living a life of abundance – fresh seafood, lean meats, nutritious plants and vegetables. By nurturing our Laws and traditions, our Countries and resources flourished.

Then our Ancestors saw “koolin djerring nairm-u” (strangers from the ocean). Camping and hunting in our places. Fighting. Taking our women and children. Slaughtering until our oceans turned red.
